WaSLA Spring Conference – Postponed until Spring 2021
Dear Friends of WaSLA,
We are writing to let you know that it is with
disappointment that we have to postpone the March 14, 2020 WaSLA conference, “Ink
& Ideas: Sketchnotes for Engagement, Comprehension and Thinking” with Heinemann
author Tanny McGregor. This is due to
the current outbreak of Covid-19 occurring in Western WA, coupled with an
abundance of caution on the part of Seattle Public Schools, as our planned venue
is no longer available right now.
We are already working with Tanny to reschedule this event
for the spring of 2021; most likely about a year after the original conference
date. We will be sure to keep you on our
outreach list with all the new conference information as a new date is chosen. We will also be in touch about our Fall 2020 WaSLA
conference, in the works now, and currently scheduled for Saturday, November
14, 2020.
Our apologies for having to postpone this exciting
conference for the time being, and we look forward to welcoming you to attend
when the new date is chosen!
Yours in literacy learning,
Tammi Mack
President,
Washington State Literacy Association
