Mirrors and Windows: Literature for Building Inclusive Classrooms
April 18 @ 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Children’s literature can allow students to see themselves on the pages and provide insights into the worlds of classmates. Share in conversations with fellow educators from around Snohomish County as award-winning children’s literature publications are shared that support all learners in our classrooms.
Hear from Dr. Anthony Craig about the importance of surrounding our students with the mirrors and windows that build our classroom communities. Dr. Craig has served as a teacher, instructional coach, principal, director of diversity, equity
and outreach, and currently is the director of the University Of Washington College Of Education’s Leadership for Learning (EdD) program. He continuously works to prepare leaders to create conditions to achieve equitable outcomes for all students.
